the terminator tells the entire kitchen staff to gather around
who's he to say?
to tell us to do a stupid dance"
Christina Chalmers has recently published her first book WORK SONGS with Shit Valley Press. "My eyes are the size of your pores,
Your pores like klein
Bottles boating Euclid's mooring -
Beauty is folding up its own laurels
Your callused skin wrinkling
In coniferous spines drop their pining
Like a Hyperinflated note"
Tom Allen lives in Berlin. He has recently published an essay entitled 'Diversion to the knowledge of the damned / Preliminary Notes after Care Homes' in MATERIALS journal http://material-s.blogspot.co.uk/, as well as an essay on eating sin for mute magazine http://www.metamute.org/community/your-posts/not-portrayal-part-nature-adorno’s-final-words-natural-beauty. This will be his second poetry reading.
"All silent. Dark background upon which there
makes a chance
I calibrate towards a wolf and from the sea.
I am hungry and not sure. Monday."
Organised by Ed Luker, with Dawn Bothwell and Paul Becker from The Northern Charter.
